For grins, you can get a glimpse of my past activities though press clippings here: |
Musician, Educator, Software Engineer.
I have enjoyed playing various styles on double bass as well as Fender bass for over 40 years. Armed with a BS in Music Education from the University of Illinois, I taught string instruments in the public schools in the 70s and 80s. At the same time, he was a free-lance bass player in the DC area in jazz and orchestras gigging all over town. More recently, I have been living and working in the Seattle area and has been added playing the guitar and singing to my bass playing. For my “day gig”, I am a manager of software engineering, at Amazon.com, where I have been for the last decade or so. Amazon has several great ways of supporting DYI authors and musicians. You can have books, CDs, and DVDs printed “on demand” that you have created. No need to go to the expense of a 1,000 copy run until you know you have the demand. You can make money on the first copy sold. This music site is all about sharing my love of music and ideas with old and new friends. You will find music lessons of all kinds including music theory, guitar and bass concepts, artist profiles, and links to other sites where I have found value in my own pursuits. |
